Virginia Creeper

The high school ministry biked the Virgina Creeper last Thursday so Oliver and I decided to join them.  The Virginia Creeper is an old train track that has been converted into a 17 mile downhill bike trail. Oliver rode in a borrowed trailer attached to our bike. The trail was beautiful but a little more than I could handle right now. Imagine changing diapers, preparing a bottle and changing his clothes on a dirt trail.  I’m thankful that my husband stayed back with me to help pull Oliver because there was no way we could keep up with the students. I must say our son is a trooper. After a 2 1/2 hour car ride there, a 30 min. van ride to the top of the trail, a 3 hour bike trip down and then another 2 1/2 hour car ride home, he was still a joy….I love our boy.

DSC_0169I was really sad to miss out on the tatoo fest on bus ride there. Luckily O missed it too.

I wonder how much dirt he inhaled if this is what was on his head? Again, trooper.

On the move

Oliver is officially crawling and getting into things. This morning I tried to take a two minute shower in hopes that he would play with his toys in the bathroom as usual, not anymore.  Before I was finished, he learned how to pull the toilet paper off the roll and attempted to put the door stopper in his mouth again. This picture was taken earlier this morning as he was trying to get the one downstairs in his mouth.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed some time together this morning at Stephanie’s house. She is expecting her baby girl, Faith, to arrive anytime. I got a couple of  sweet pictures of her with her son Gabriel.

Oliver didn’t  like the grass much today. Look at his left leg, he wouldn’t put it down.

Starflower Natural Foods

I am SO proud of my oldest sister, Marnie. She worked in and managed health food stores for 20 years and just recently fulfilled her dream of opening her own store, Starflower Natural Foods in Yellowsprings, Ohio. Oliver enjoyed an organic fruit leather while visiting his aunt in her store. We’re so proud of you Aunt Marnie. The sign was completed the next day and then hung on the building. Too bad we didn’t get a picture of that.
