Even Allie is going whole wheat. She thinks these are delicious.

Goodbye paper towels

Today as I was cleaning my countertops, I realized this is my last roll of paper towels. The next grocery store list will not include paper towels on it because we’re going  to start using rags. Even if it doesn’t save me a ton of money, I won’t need to worry about buying them (spending money from my grocery envelope) or storing them. What’s one more load of laundry each week or so anyway?

Short But Sweet & Ready 4 The Beach

Posted in Uncategorized on March 9, 2009 by katiejessen

My friend from college was passing through town  yesterday so we got to spend the afternoon together. I wish I took a picture before we got loaded up to leave! It was so much to catch up on life and see her with our boy. She is going to be an amazing mom one day!!!!

My friends and I are packing up a borrowed van and headed to the beach for a few days.  The weather in South Carolina is supposed to be amazing (mid 70’s). O is dressed and ready….I’m not so much. Less than 3 hours to go….no problem….I’ll get it all together.

Cousins, Shapes & Canisters

Posted in Uncategorized on March 4, 2009 by katiejessen

We visited O’s cousins this morning and wished sweet Emmiline a very Happy 7th Birthday….

Oliver later learned his shapes watching Baby Einstein…

I caught this picture as I was unloading the dishwasher. These canisters will soon be filled with whole wheat flour, soy flour and other grains. We’re going 100% whole wheat.

Our Boy Loves Surprises…just like me

Peek-a-boo is one of O’s favorite games. It doesn’t matter if it’s covering our face or popping up from behind the counter, he loves it. If we add a scary sound and make a crazy face, he loves it even more.

O gets the love of being scared from his Daddy….NOT ME! One time in high school I tried to go through a haunted house with my friends and never made it past the first room. I ended up peeing my pants so much that I got my money back and waited in the van (sitting on a plastic bag) with my friends mom as she read a romance novel.

He also loves to be tickled. I’ve started singing “Itsy-bitsy Spider” with the spider crawling up his body and then tickling him. I really need to start video tapping so that we can remember these precious moments.
